Everyday conversations in Chinese for kids!
This class will introduce everyday conversations in Mandarin, the primary language used in schools, and in most public affairs. There will be a total of eight sessions. In each session, learners will acquire basic words, phrases, and simple sentences that are used in everyday life.
Why join this workshop?
The benefits of learning a second language at an early age are certainly worth the struggle.
Multilingual children learn faster and easier, have improved problem-solving skills and creativity, and have more career opportunities in adulthood.
They also find it easier to connect with other cultures which makes them more open-minded and tolerant of diversity, and they are less likely to experience age-related mental illness as they reach old age.
Most importantly, it’s much easier to learn a second language at an early age, with research suggesting that children learn new languages faster, retain it better, and most often speak it with near-native pronunciation when they learn it from a young age.
This class is for children aged 6 to 8, and will be facilitated online with live instruction. Students will need to have a computer, tablet, or phone with internet and access to Google Meet. Additional work will need to be done outside of online sessions.
